Can I board my pet with you?

The Howard Animal Hospital’s boarding facility can comfortably house, with full security, your pet from one hour to indefinitely.

At our facility, we feed pets Eukanuba Dry-Low Residue for dogs and IAMS for cats. We will be happy to feed whatever food you provide during your pets stay with us.

Independent of weather conditions, we offer a minimum of twice daily exercising in our protected outdoor fenced runs. Your pets will enjoy their stay with us.

We have five separate climate-controlled wards so cats are separated from dogs, so it is less stressful on your cat. Therefore it is peacefully quiet in each ward. If your pet requires special medication to be given daily or special feedings we can provide this service while your pet is boarding with us.

Reservations are preferred to ensure adequate space for your pets, especially during holidays. You can pick up or drop off your pet any time during regular hospital hours.

Please call the hospital for a list of boarding prices. Please call the hospital if you have further questions.

Do you do bathing and grooming?

Give your pet the royal treatment with The Howard Animal Hospital's grooming services.

We can trim your pet's shaggy coat, give baths, trim toenails and they look and feel great!

Grooming starts with a thorough coat brush, fur clipping, toenail clipping and ear cleaning. Then we give your pet a massaging shampoo using medicated, hypoallergenic shampoo. After the bath, we blow-dry your pet's coat, followed by another brushing and a professional, pet-salon style haircut. After the grooming we can apply, if you wish, a Frontline Top Spot flea treatment.

Grooming sessions are held Monday through Saturday. You can drop your pet off between 7 and 8:30 a.m. on weekdays and 8 and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. All grooming sessions are finished by 3 p.m., and pets can be picked up any time before the hospital closes at 8 PM.
